Club members came together for their first meeting of 2023 on Tuesday 24th of January. An exciting programme is planned for this year with interesting competition topics, exhibitions, workshops, visiting photographers and weekend excursions.

The club’s first exhibition of the year was held at the Eurobodalla Agricultural Show recently, which received positive feedback and hopefully inspired more people to develop their own creative interests in photography. The next photography club exhibition will be held at Batemans Bay library from the 1st-13th of February.

The January competition was judged by club member, Ken Foster, who provided insightful comments and feedback on a wide range of ‘open’ topic photos. Many of the images captured a range of emotions, were thought provoking, told a story, or highlighted skills of composition, vibrancy of colour or extraordinary detail. Congratulations to all winners and club members who submitted photos.

The meeting also included a presentation by club member, Beth Westra, on post-photo production, which was very informative. Members were shown how to make a great photo even better with some digital photo editing.
