Essential Road Crash Rescue Training for local crews

NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit reports: Essential Road Crash Rescue Training with SES Batemans Bay and the Rural Fire Service, Surf Beach Unit was conducted on Tuesday night the 11th of November . This is a fantastic community partnership with amazing skills from both teams clearly on display. Road Crash Rescue is a specialised and extensive course which requires our teams to undergo extensive training to meet the demanding skills required to undertake such rescues. The training includes handling of specialist equipment, scene assessment, safety vehicle management, vehicle stabilisation, casualty assessment and then sequence the removal of major vehicle sections (e.g doors, roof). This gives both teams an opportunity to train and work collaboratively in this training exercise. The training followed Covid 19 protocols. Thank you to RFS Surf Beach for their efforts and for training with us.
