Council receive grant funding from the NSW Government to support young people with employment and training in Eurobodalla. The Employment Revolution provides young people between the ages of 15 and 24 with improved access to training and job opportunities to assist them in securing employment.

The Eurobodalla Employment Revolution aims to:

• connect young job-seekers with employment and fee-free training opportunities

• facilitate career pathway planning

• provide job readiness support such as resume writing and interview preparation

• provide information regarding apprenticeships, traineeships, school based apprenticeships and workforce development.

1. Eurobodalla Shire Council has 11 traineeships and apprenticeships up for grabs in the fields of business administration (youth only), water and sewer (open aged) and carpentry (open aged).

FREE TRAINING (eligibility applies)

Council’s Employment Team are partnering with Fusion Training Solutions to offer a short course that is designed to prepare job-seekers (youth focused) to work in a range of areas that require laboring skills, including construction. It will be held at Moruya RSL Memorial Hall, 9 Page Street, Moruya 2537. The course will go from Tuesday 29 September to Friday 2 October 2020, 8.30am to 4pm.

You’ll be studying:

‍ prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)  use carpentry tools and equipment ⚒ carry out manual handling tasks

Are you eligible to do this fee-free course? You must:

· be a job seeker

· have left school

· live in Eurobodalla

· be an Australian or NZ resident.

You must attend all training days and cannot have completed these subjects previously. If you hold a white card more than two years old, you are still eligible to complete this course.
