Early morning search for missing Tuross kayaker solved

Marine Rescue Tuross responded to an emergency call out this morning on Tuross Lake supporting police and Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter searches with TU12 and both RWCs.

The search was triggered by an upturned kayak with floating fishing gear bag. Fortunately the owner of the kayak stepped forward and thanked all concerned for locating the kayak and gear which had come loose from its mooring in the night.

Volunteers on the water for Marine Rescue Tuross were Paul Carter, Geoff Clarke, Viktor Svarcs, Blaise Madden and Wayne Ellison. Ilze Svarcs on radio at base. All supported by UC Alan Blessington. photos: Tuross Marine Rescue
