ROAD CLOSED MEANS ROAD CLOSED 🚫
Police have been required to attend to an increase in driving complaints along Dunns Creek Road (the link road between Tomakin Rd Mogo to The Ridge Road Malua Bay).
To motorist other than immediate local traffic the road is CLOSED for approximately 12 weeks due to maintenance and upgrades as a result of being identified as a black spot. Council workers have been on site since the closure on 25/05/2020 and have had numerous drivers disobeying the large VMS flashing signs which are at either end of Dunns Creek Rd, signifying the road closure.
South Coast Police District Highway Patrol Sergeant says, "Drivers can expect an increase in police patrols and officers will be issuing infringement notices for offences such as 'Disregard barrier regulating traffic by passing vehicle' and further infringements for any person seen to be removing or damaging the barriers in any way."
