Dunk a Firie raises over $20,000

Jacki Kelly of Revamp Reuse Upcycle has hosted a special fundraising event for our local Firies raising $20,163.29 As well as conducting an online auction of goods and services donated by local businesses that raised $16,130.89 she and her team hosted an all day event at Mogo on December 28th providing further opportunities to raise $4032 while giving the community a chance to dunk the Member for Bega and the Eurobodalla Mayor. Though numbers were down due to the extreme heat, the appalling smoke and the fact that the Princes highway was closed for a period of time the event was a great success that saw a terrific turnout of stunning vehicles, lots of prizes and event s for kids and the main events of dunking local firies up to 12:30pm and then.... the dunking of local Member for Bega, Andrew Constance and Eurobodalla Council's Mayor, Liz Innes. Beagle editor, Lei Parker took advantage of the Dunking occasion to commit $100 to three shots aimed at dunking the Mayor. The Beagle's thanks go to our 'second' for his accuracy and commitment that saw the Mayor dunked two from three times.
