Dredging at Tuross Boatramp Nov 3rd and 4th

Council has now arranged for some dredging works to take place at Lavender Point Boat ramp commencing this Wednesday the 3rd of Nov and finishing the works on Thursday 4th of Nov. Whilst these works are undertaken the boat ramp will be closed from 10am Wed morning until 6pm Wed afternoon and 10am Thursday morning until 6pm Thursday afternoon. The closure will be required as the long reach excavator will be sitting on the boat ramp excavating sand as the tidal cycle allows and this wont allow for the launching and retrieval of any marine craft. The sand that is being removed will be used on the main beach just south of the caravan park to replenish the dunes as per the discussion between Marine Park, council enviro team and the coastal estuary group.
