Designs and products that pass the test of fire

With over 500 homes destroyed in the region the massive rebuild will also require a rethink of building design and building capacity and components to withstand any future fires that might come our way. Jamie Kemp, Manager of South Coast Window Furnishings posted "Today I witness the devastation of North Rosedale for the first time. It was so sad seeing what the New Years Eve beast had left behind in it's tracks.

"Back in 2017 we worked closely with Dee & Tim from TLC Constructions on their project in Dale Place North Rosedale, house designed by Thomas Caddaye Architects.

"This home was built to stand extreme heat conditions & that it did.As you can see in the images the heat of the fire has damaged the Bal40 Bushfire shutters but they were able to stand up and do their job along with all other FZ building supplies which went into this house.

"What use to be a filtered green forest view to the ocean is now a burnt out bush 😥😥😥

Its a relief to see a product we show so much faith in,stand up to its expectations."
