Our Thursday walks saw high winds and concern for safety of our walkers mean't this proposed walk near the western side of Gulaga was Cancelled.Occasionally this situation arises and walk leaders make assessments of weather conditions and the location of the walks to ensure walker welbeing.

Saturday was a different story all together. What a contrast in the weather to Thursday, with a beautiful spring day. Nine walkers experienced a gem of a walk only 10 minutes from Dalmeny. When we commenced we were greeted by many laughing Kookaburras ( which are getting rarer in built up areas)  but we walked creek beds, past flowering wattles and big gum trees but the bush is dry and desperately needs a drink. We had lunch towards the end of the walk and found some logs to sit on that were also near a 'gaggle' of  3 lyrebirds who entertained us with bird imitations sounds. 7.5 klms of comfortable walking was covered with Margaret Byrne thanking Jo for putting on the walk. The spring summer program is now available on the web site http://www.dalmenynaroomabushwalkers.info
