Dalmeny/ Narooma Bushwalkers - First Organized Walk since March

The group hasn't had much news lately due to Covid 19 restrictions. This week we commenced limited activities for the next few weeks to see how things develop. We are operating with maximum walk numbers of 20 and distancing requirements which is relatively easy when bushwalking.

Anyway Jan Thomas our President, led this first walk into a favourite area of the Club's- Cowdroy's Creek just behind Dalmeny. This location is a great creek walking area with rainforest, old mine shafts, beautiful eucalypt trees and yes water flowing in the creeks due to recent rainfall. The bush was freshened up with the rain. The area is close to our meeting point and quite easy for the members to drive their own cars to the walk. I think everybody was pleased to see our walking friends again, it has been a longtime.

The walk was really a trial run to make sure the Club could run a walk in a safe way and comply with Government regulations. This we all agreed was achieved. by David Maidment

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
