Walkers enjoyed getting out into the bush this past week. It has been a longtime since we have been able to get out together and walk in some great spring conditions. The winter rains have helped the bush recover from the fires and what a treat to see Brou Lake open again.
The first walk was on Thursday 3/9/20 - Mummaga/Brou Lake Circuit: This walk was led by Maggie Finch and accompanied by 19 walkers. We met at Dalmeny Walk Bridge, walked around the eastern and northern side of Mummaga Lake, through the bush to Brou Lake.We then made our way around to Brou Lake entrance and then back by along the bush tracks south towards Dalmeny. Lunch was had at the southern rocks nearest to Dalmeny. Quite a few spring wild flowers are coming through the burn't bush and the Brou Lake entrance is broad and spectacular.

The second walk led by Michael McDonagh took place on Saturday north of Potato Point with 10 walkers attending. We made our way up the beach and then along the road to south Tuross beach. Then along the edge of the Tuross River following the bush trails behind Blackfellows Point camping area. Lunch was had at the beautiful Piccaninny Beach following back to Potato Point Maggie thanked Michael for an enjoyable 9klm walk.
