Covid climbs back over 10,000 in NSW

COVID-19 update – Wednesday 2 March 2022

In the 24-hour reporting period to 4pm yesterday:

- 95.8% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - 94.3% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine - 54.5% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine* - 83.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - 79% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine - 47.6% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - 1,072 hospitalisations - 45 people in ICU - 5 lives lost - 10,650 positive tests: 6,944 RAT & 3,706 PCR

*Includes both immunocompromised people who have received a third dose and all people aged 16+ who have received a booster.


There were 280 positive test results (cases) notified in Southern NSW in the 24 hours to 4pm yesterday – including 198 positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 82 positive PCR tests.

Local government area (LGA) breakdown of the 280 new cases: Bega Valley - 39 Eurobodalla - 56 Goulburn Mulwaree - 32 Queanbeyan Palerang - 98 Snowy Monaro - 30 Upper Lachlan - 6 Yass Valley - 19
