Covid case in Broulee and now in Tuross

Southern NSW Local Health District is urging community members to continue to come forward for vaccination and to be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19 following notification of five new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8.00pm last night.

Of the five new cases:

Three are in the Queanbeyan Palerang region (2 in Googong and 1 in Jerrabomberra). All cases are linked to known cases.

One is in the Snowy Monaro region (Binjura) and is linked to a known case.

One is in the Eurobodalla region (Tuross Head) and is linked to a known case.

This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 579 since the start of the current outbreak in June. NSW Health no longer lists exposure locations. NSW Health will contact people diagnosed with COVID-19 and their close contacts. It will also continue to send a SMS to people who need to follow specific health advice. People who have been to a venue around the same time as a person with COVID-19 will receive a COVID-19 case alert on their Service NSW app.
