Council's verge-garden pilot finds four sites

Some love a lawn, some want more colour. Others want to transform their nature strip into a natural oasis.

More than 70 street communities wanted in to Council's verge-garden pilot, so they easily found four trial sites, at Broulee, Lilli Pilli and Long Beach.

The pilot is looking how neighbourhoods can plant out nature strips while keeping streets safe and infrastructure accessible, laying the groundwork for shire-wide guidelines down the path.

In the meantime Council have plenty of ideas to make your garden waterwise and nature friendly > https://bit.ly/ESCGetGardening
