Eurobodalla Council will begin reviewing its Community Strategic Plan in October 2021 The Council say that the Community Strategic Plan "outlines everybody's vision and aspirations for the shire". "Its purpose is to identify the community's main priorities and aspirations for the future and to plan strategies for achieving these goals. "In doing this, the planning process considers the issues and pressures that may affect the community and the level of resources that will realistically be available to achieve its aspirations.

Council are asking the community Where are we now? Where do we want to be in 20 years time? How will we get there? How will we know we have arrived? Twenty years ago this is what the community said they wanted.

Thirty years ago this is what the community said they wanted

Why wait until October to tell Council what you want? Simply put your hopes and dreams down on paper and mark it "Community Strategic Plan"and send it to Eurobodalla Shire Council. David Grace, a candidate in the upcoming December local government elections offers the opinion that "all decisions about the use of public land should be made at council meetings with the community's views welcomed and publicly aired. Consultation is not an optional extra; it is not a one-off event. We should expect to see consultation about all community developments to happen regularly and be up-to-date."

"Eurobodalla residents' and ratepayers' voices need to be heard loud and clear: any land development needs to involve the community it affects," he said. "This means meaningful and current consultation with the community, opportunities for discussion and dissent, and no surprises. The Broulee triangle is a perfect example of how not to consult with the community. "
