Maria Kovacic: former NSW Liberal president will replace Jim Molan in Senate as Andrew Constance’s bid fails Federal deputy Liberal leader, Sussan Ley recognised Kovacic’s credentials when she said “By bringing this real-world experience in small business and community service to Canberra, Maria will be a strong addition to our federal Liberal team,” Should Andrew Constance consider another bid for the seat of Gilmore, now held by Labor's Fiona Phillips, the next Australian federal election will be held some time during or before 2025 to elect members of the 48th Parliament of Australia. All 151 seats in the House of Representatives and likely 40 of the 76 seats in the Senate will be contested. Given Mr Constance's clear aspirations for Federal politics it is unlikely that he would consider challenging Dr Michael Holland for the now securely held NSW Labor seat of Bega.
