Community event grants now open

Do you have a great idea for a community event but need financial support to get it up and running?

Eurobodalla Council’s Community Events Grants are now open for events held between January and June next year. Council’s events coordinator Leisa Tague said events with an expected attendance of more than 500 people may be eligible for up to $2,000 in assistance.

“We all know Eurobodalla is a vibrant, diverse and fun place to live and visit, and we want to support events that help celebrate our community,” Ms Tague said.

“Funding will be considered for events that attract 500 or more people and also foster community pride. For example, building strong communities by including a diverse mix of volunteers and participants.”

Ms Tague said applications were open until 5pm Wednesday 30 October 2019 and the grants were to be used for costs directly involved in running the event, “advertising, equipment hire, entertainers, that kind of thing.”

“All the details are in the guidelines on our website with a link to the application there too, but we’re here to help if you need further assistance.”
