Coila Lake opened ahead of more rain

Eurobodalla Mayor, Mat Hatcher, has advised that Coila Lake was opened today to pre-empt the flooding that is predicted in coming days.

Photo: Marine Rescue Tuross Coila Lake is open to the sea! The third time in two years. Before that, there was a gap of about 7 years. The following conditions are required to initiate an opening of the Coila Lake entrance channel: • Water levels > RL 2.0m AHD; or • Water levels > RL 1.80m AHD for more than 3 months. SOURCE
