Coachhouse Marina Resort redevelopment determination hearing Aug 26th

Locals who objected to the re-development of the Coachhouse Marina Resort with aged care, senior's living housing and residential housing in 20 large buildings predominantly 4 and 5 storeys high have received notification of a public meeting where the NSW Government's Southern Regional Planning Panel will determine the application. The public meeting will be held at the Batemans Bay Soildiers Club on Monday 26 August at 1pm.

The Beagle has been advised by a local objector to the project that "many local residents have not received a copy of Council's report to the Southern Regional Planning Panel. We do hope that those residents who have been following the progress of this controversial development turn up, and speak if they wish to do so, at the meeting."  The Planning Panels Secretariat does advise that the relevant documents will be available on the Planning Panels website www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/planningpanels at least seven days before the meeting.

Those who did wish to speak were required to register by contacting the Planning Panels Secretariat before 4pm Thursday, 22 August 2019 on 02 8217 2060 or via email to enquiry@planningpanels.nsw.gov.au

The panel will meet on Monday 26 August at 1pm to determine the following development application:

2018STH030 – Eurobodalla – 272/19 ‐ 49 Beach Road Batemans Bay ‐ Concept proposal

(residential and seniors living development) and development proposal ‐ stage 1B ‐ 18

seniors living units and associated infrastructure

The purpose of the meeting is to give interested people the opportunity to speak directly to the panel before a decision is made. If you wish to present to the panel, you must register to speak by contacting the Planning Panels Secretariat before 4pm Thursday, 22 August 2019 on 02 8217 2060 or via email to enquiry@planningpanels.nsw.gov.au

Any person is welcome to attend the public meeting to observe.

The panel is required to make an audio record of the meeting and make the recording publicly available on the Planning Panels website. You should be aware that this may include your personal information if you are presenting to the panel.

The panel will aim to publish its decision on the Planning Panels website within 7 days of the meeting.
