Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

Vice-President Kim Giannasca welcomed 24 social bowlers on Tuesday.

Kim had decided not to bowl as she needed a break after so much bowling last week, I think she must have known what was coming!!

The four teams taking part in Semi-Final of Club Championship Pairs started their matches early at 9am, Pat Bill and Gay Biggs, substitute Helen Rees and Margaret Bridges. Paula Hancock and Karen Signor. Yvonne Huddleston and Noleen Taylor.

Social bowlers proceeded onto green at 10 am but didn't get many ends bowled before the torrential rain started. Unfortunately all games had to stop as green was saturated with water so unplayable. Club Pairs Championship will be completed tomorrow, Wednesday at 9.30am, Final , Thursday at 9am.

Congratulations to the Clubs in the Far South Coast on winning the Inter District Challenge played last week. Well done to Gloria Harper, Kim Giannasca, Jenny Blyth, Club Malua on winning the Triples, Rose Farrington, Club Tuross, Singles winner.

Good bowling next Tuesday in Senior Fours playoffs at Tura Beach to Olga Geshwend, Ellie Crompton, Carol Dutkiewicz and Noleen Taylor.

Kim announced that our AGM will be brought forward from October to 5th July. There will be a Special General Meeting after bowls on 4th April to vote on a nomination for Robyn Butcher as a Life member of Club Malua Women's Bowls.

Money club winners, 6 and 24 Margaret Bridges, 21, Kim Giannasca.

Lucky number winners, Connie Anderson, Sonia Frey, Fran Lucas, Bev McKague, Lauraine Taylor, Pat Weekes. Thinking of all our ladies on the sick list, take care, get better soon.
