Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

Bowls Organiser David Thomas and President Sue Beavan welcomed 36 ladies back to bowls for 2023.

They both wished everyone a great year, David also thanking those who sent him messages for the New Year.

The format bowled this week was Versatility where each bowler plays 7 ends in each position.

Winners on Rink 12, Judy Armstrong, Colleen Ashby and Karen Signor

Runners-up Rink 9, Jean Beeley, Lisa Grice and Paula Hancock.

Other winning teams with lots of close scores all round , so well done to Selectors.

Bev McKague, Barbara Vickers and Pat Bill. Lauraine Taylor, Marlou Rollinson and Nancy White. Gloria Harper, Sonia Frey and Noleen Taylor. June Ryan, Olga Geshwend and Lyn Hardy.

Money club winners on 13, Pat Biddolph, 3 Olga Geshwend.

February, Aaron Wilson will be at Club Malua offering private coaching, a great opportunity.

Thursday 2nd February District Fours will be played, already we have 7 teams competing.

Saturday 4th there will be some terrific bowls to watch between Malua Bay and Cabramatta.

The Nader Shield will be contested on 9th/10th at Club Narooma .

As it is the 40th year there will be some special celebrations taking place.
