Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

There were 41 ladies on the greens this week on a cold windy day, but no rain. President Sue Beavan and Bowls Organiser David Thomas welcomed everyone. A special welcome to two ladies who have joined us, Sue Tyson and Marlou Rollinson who was previously a member several years ago. Congratulations to David on the birth of granddaughter Bridie, best wishes to Steph and Dan as they welcome this little bundle of joy. Winners on Rink 4, Joan Fitzroy, Paula Hancock and Yvonne Huddleston. Runners-up, Rink 10, Wendy Geary, Jean Beeley and Noleen Taylor. Rink 3 was selected to try for Jackpot of $2,500, winning Skip Tania Calder pressed button, she needed 10 but came up with 29, bad luck Tania!!


There were two more Draws of $200 for each team member on Rink. Rink 9, Pat Biddolph, June Williams and Nancy White. Judy Armstrong, Lyn Hardy and Alison Innes, so six very happy ladies. Rink 3, Gloria Harper, Ellie Crompton and Tania Calder, Anna Stewart, Carol Dutkiewicz and Jan Shalders, lucky to have their rink called out again. A lucky $100 Draw went to Olga Geshwend. Other winning teams, Lynne Gowans, Tricia Wheeler and Kim Giannasca. Gloria Harper, Ellie Crompton and Tania Calder. Marlou Rollinson, swinging Lead, Olga Geshwend and Sue Beavan. Pat Biddolph, June Williams and Nancy White. Sue Palmer, Barbara Vickers and Sue Tyson. Money club winners, 55, Noleen Taylor, 29, Helen Rees. President Sue presented Paula Hancock with a certificate on winning Club Consistency, also a Trophy to Sonia Frey on her becoming District Chanpion of Champions in Minor Singles, well done to both ladies. I would like to congratulate Sue Beavan, Rae Fayle and Paula Hancock on being the Gold winners last weekend in Triples competition held at Club Narooma.
