Club Malua Women's Bowls Report

How good is this weather, beautiful days of warm sunshine, just perfect. There were 37 ladies on the green on Tuesday, all welcomed by Bowls Organiser David Thomas . Special welcome back to Wendy Geary, Lynne Gowans and Joan Fitzroy, also to Carol Harris who popped in to say hello . Winners on Rink 11, Robyn Butcher, Anne O'Dwyer and Olga Geshwend. Runners-up, Colleen Ashby, swinging Lead, Tricia Wheeler, Sonia Frey , Pat Bill. Rink 9 selected to try for Jackpot of $1,994, Pat Bill needed 4 but pressed 18. Other winning teams, Gay Biggs , Helen Rees and Anna Stewart.vGai Gibson, Tania Calder and Paula Hancock. Judy Munday, Raija Johnston and Noleen Taylor. Wendy Geary, Fran Lucas and Sue Beavan. Money club winners on 54, Jeanette Roberts, 35, Robyn Butcher. President Sue Beavan hoped everyone had an enjoyable day out on the green. Sue has been in touch with Julie Lewis who loved the card and all the well wishes from everyone, it really helped her to know how much she is missed. Congratulations to Serena who has welcomed a little grand daughter.


Well done to Gloria Harper, Lyn Hardy and Jenny Blyth who are bowling in a State Championship in Bomaderry, Monday they had a win and a loss, Tuesday they had two winning matches. Just heard from Lyn they won the money in their section. Next Tuesday is Presidents Day so come along to enjoy this special day. Club Malua is looking fantastic , at present the landscaping is well under way.
