Club Malua Women's Bowls Report.

Bowls Organiser David Thomas and Women's President Sue Beavan welcomed 41 ladies on Tuesday, hoping all present had an enjoyable Easter break. Welcome back to Raija Johnston, lovely to see her back on the green, also to Bev Feehan who travels over the mountain from Araluen to bowl . Before going out onto greens we were able to watch a little of the Junior boys pairs being played at Warilla, with Stuart Megee and Nick Tyce representing Zone 7. The boys lost their first match but have no further results at this time. Winners on Rink 10, Rosie Rayner, Gwen Ware and Paula Hancock. Runners-up, Rink 12, Dorothy Stewart, Sonia Frey and Noleen Taylor. Rink 9 was selected to try for Jackpot, Lead , Jeanette Roberts pressed button as Skip Alison had already left , she needed 3 but got 16, bad luck Jeanette. Other winning teams, Jeanette Roberts, Helen Rees and Alison Innes. Pat Bill as swinging Lead, Barbara Vickers and Jenny Blyth. June Ryan, Raija Johnston and Ellie Crompton. Judy Davis, Joan Rimmer and Rae Fayle. Connie Anderson, Gloria Harper and Olga Geshwend. There were some very close games played so well done to Selectors. Money club winners, 35, June Williams, 67, Bev Keatley. Happy Birthday Greetings to Jeanette Roberts, enjoy your day tomorrow. Ladies Coach Sue Morgan will have coaching Wednesday mornings at 10 am.
