Club Malua Stingrays Bowls Report

What a beautiful day for 46 ladies last Tuesday on the greens, lovely sunshine and no wind , just perfect, lots of fun and friendship. President Sue Beavan welcomed everyone, then Bowls Organiser David Thomas presented Gold Stars to Paula Hancock and Sue as winners of Club Pairs. Sue then presented Connie Anderson with her social committee badge. Winners on Rink 3, Sharna Breen, Gayl Vidgen and Sue Morgan. Runners-up Rink 2, Colleen Ashby and Tania Calder. Great bowling ladies with five teams only 1 or 2 shots difference. Other winning teams, Carmel Price, Gloria Harper and Paula Hancock had a Drawn game with Dorothy Stewart, June Williams and Pat Weekes. Connie Anderson, Carol Dutkiewicz and Lyn Hardy. Serena Short, Jean Beeley and Alison Innes. Wendy Geary, Helen Rees and Pat Bill. Joan Rimmer, Gwen Ware and Lisa Grice. Bev McKague, Raija Johnston and Noleen Taylor. Rink 5 was selected to try for Jackpot, winning Skip Lisa Grice needed 1 but came up with 14, bad luck Lisa, maybe next time. Money club winners, 37, Noleen Taylor, 25, Margaret Bridges. Raija Johnston received her Birthday hankie and a mumbled Birthday song!! Club Consistency sheet now up on Board. Tuesday, Club Triples will be played in both morning and afternoon matches.
