Club Malua Home of the Stingrays Bowls Report

There were 50 ladies last Tuesday bowling in 7 social triples matches also the Final of Club Triples Championship on a very windy day. Congratulations to Olga Geshwend, Yvonne Huddleston and Noleen Taylor who defeated Gay Biggs , Helen Rees and Pat Bill in Championship Triples.

Rosie Rayner and Rae Fayle sharing game, Judy Armstrong and Jenny Blyth. Tricia Wheeler, Jean Beeley and Kim Giannasca. Marj O'Neill, Raija Johnston and Sue Beavan. Bess Holloway, Val Dundas and Alison Innes. Rink 9 was selected to try for $1,000 Jackpot, Alison needed 5 but no luck. Money club winners on 54, Jan Shalders, 35, Carmel Price. Thank you to Shirley Edwards who Umpired Finals match. Lovely to see Rosie Rayner and Sue Palmer back on the Green. Consistency Round 1 will be played on Thursday 5th August, 2 and 3 on 10th.

Above: Start Megee represented Club Malua Stingrays in Zone 7 last weekend and became Champion of Champions a fantastic achievement for a young bowler. Stuart is an apprentice greenkeeper at Club Malua and doing a great job here as well.
