Close results in Tuross stableford golf

Tuross Head men golfers competed in a stableford competition this week and the first five players all recorded the same score of 38 stableford points.
A countback resulted in first place being awarded to Paul Medwin followed by Richard Kelly, Bob Hay, Allen Gannon and Steve Johnston.
Balls were won by players scoring down to 29 points.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade golfer Bob Hay on the 4th hole, Marty Booth on the 6th and Brad Doolan on the 7th.
Bruce Martin was the closest B grade golfer on the 4th hole.
Frank Pomfret won the 6th and Peter Nikolic the 7rh hole.
C grade division results saw Paul Medwin win the 4th hole, Steve Johnston the 6th and David Dow the 7th.
Thursday’s medley stableford event was won by Stephen Swanbury with 37 points ahead of Wayne Fullerton on a countback.
Brad Doolan scored 36 points and Peter Nikolic 34 points for the remaining awards.
Nearest the pins were won by Allan Langford on the 4th hole, Mick Hogan on the 6th and Richard Wharton won the 7th.
