Clean Up Australia Day - Sunday 1 March 2020

Australians are the second highest producers of waste per person in the world, with an estimated 7 billion cigarette butts and 50 million plastic bags littered in Australia each year.

Eurobodalla Council has proudly supported Clean Up Australia Day for the past 19 years, helping communities to clean up, fix up and conserve Eurobodalla's environment. Held every year on the first Sunday in March, the day attracts more than half a million volunteers Australia-wide, and is the nation's largest community-based environmental event.
