Australians are the second highest producers of waste per person in the world, with an estimated 7 billion cigarette butts and 50 million plastic bags littered in Australia each year.
Eurobodalla Council has proudly supported Clean Up Australia Day for the past 19 years, helping communities to clean up, fix up and conserve Eurobodalla's environment.
Held every year on the first Sunday in March, the day attracts more than half a million volunteers Australia-wide, and is the nation's largest community-based environmental event.

Get involved
Clean Up Australia Day is fun, easy and everyone can get involved picking up rubbish in their local area. More than 30 clean up sites have been registered in Eurobodalla for Sunday 1 March. Around 10 of those are open to the public and anyone can join in.
Everyday clean up
No need to wait for March to come around, you can also register to help clean up Australia every day. Once registered, you will receive a starter kit with helpful materials to run your site.
