Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from tomorrow on the Kings Highway for maintenance work to be carried out from 1.2km west of Sheep Station Road to 5.1km west of Cabbage Tree Creek on the Clyde Mountain.
Work will include patching, line marking and the installation of rock catch fencing to improve the condition of the road before the Christmas period.
Work will be carried out from 8am to 4pm on weekdays from Wednesday 1 to Wednesday 6 December, weather permitting.
Changed traffic conditions including a single lane closure, stop/start traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Slope stabilisation work is also continuing on the Clyde Mountain under a single lane closure at night from 7pm to 5am, Monday to Thursday. This work is expected to be complete by mid-December, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow an additional five minutes travel time and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
