Changed traffic conditions on Clyde Street and Princes Highway at Batemans Bay

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this week on the Princes Highway and Clyde Street at Batemans Bay as part of the Batemans Bay Bridge replacement project.

A short side track is being constructed to the north of Clyde Street west to allow for the realignment of Clyde Street and enable the installation of bridge segments.

Temporary traffic changes will be in place when the side track is open to traffic from Friday 18 September 2020 to mid-2021, weather permitting.

Motorists travelling between Clyde Street east and west will not be permitted to cross the Princes Highway in either direction.

Left turns only will be permitted into and out of Clyde Street west and southbound highway traffic heading to Clyde street west will detour via Clyde Street east, North Street and the Princes Highway.

Pedestrian access on Clyde Street west will be maintained at all times with a temporary pedestrian detour will be in place until mid-2021.

Motorists will be kept informed and are advised to follow the direction of signs and traffic control and check electronic message boards for updates.

Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience during this time.
