Thursday 1st June was the SuperVets & Life Members Appreciation Day for the Catalina Veterans golfers. Being eighty years or older, twenty four members were invited to lunch and drinks at the club restaurant following their nine holes of golf that morning, courtesy of the Vets Committee.
Due to the additional generous sponsorship of Ray Hartley and Bob Kolderie, a separate prize pool was available for the SuperVets in addition to the normal daily prizes for Thursday's competition. Five of the SuperVets were awarded prize-money with the major winner being Sean Carey for his score of 20 Stableford points.
