BUSTED: 208kph on George Bass Drive

Traffic and Highway Patrol Command - NSW Police Force report:

About 12:50pm on Monday 16th December 2019, police from Batemans Bay Highway Patrol were patrolling south along George Bass Drive, Broulee when a motorcycle was observed travelling in a northerly direction at a speed well in excess of the sign posted 100kph zone.

Police then checked the cycles speed, which increased from 197 up to 208kph. Police caused the motorcycle to stop and spoke with the 22 year old rider.

The riders licence was suspended/seized on the spot and the motor cycles number plates were confiscated.

The rider was issued with a Court Attendance Notice to attend Moruya Local Court on the 7th February 2020 for Drive/ride at a speed dangerous and Exceed Speed Limit by over 45kph.
