As part of a Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience grant a Bushfire Resilience Tour has been organised in the Tuross Catchment. The tour will run three times: 27, 28 and 29 April 2022. It will be completely free, transport and lunch will be provided.

Coming to the tour, a participant will learn about:

  • an introduction to bushfire management from Rural Fire Services (RFS) officers

  • the impacts of bushfires to waterways and the ecology of the estuary

  • local oyster farming and the impacts of bushfires to this industry.

There is more information on the tour on this humanitix link (including itinerary and schedule): https://events.humanitix.com/bushfire-resilience-tuross-catchment-tour
