Incident Call
"Just after 7:45am this morning (Sunday Oct 20, 2019) we were responded alongside our friends at Surf Beach Brigade to reports of a car fire on Dog Trap Road, near Ridge Road.
"3 appliances from our brigade and 1 appliance from Surf Beach Brigade arrived to find a vehicle totally involved in fire. Crews got to work extinguishing the fire bringing in under control very quickly.
"The cause of this fire is suspicious and we’d like to remind everyone that arson is a severe offence and attracts heavy penalties. Not only is it illegal, it is also incredibly dangerous to set a vehicle on fire in such close vicinity to dry bush land. South Coast Police District were in attendance and are investigating this incident further."
