Broulee Runners October 27th 2021

Great conditions greeted the twenty-two actual runners this evening, we were also pleased to have nine virtual runners submit times. As the word spreads that we are back at the Mossy Point Headland at 5 PM, we expect that more runners and walkers will come back to test themselves after the long break.

We celebrated Bernie Lambert’s 100th run, Bernie started with the 2-kilometres distance on 5 November 2014 with a time of 10.13, which is still her personal best at this distance. She has since run numerous 5-kilometres distances both with the Broulee runners and the Batemans Bay parkrun. She has also competed in fun runs and Half Marathons. She is also a local hero fighting against Covid by administering ‘jabs’ in Goulburn, Bega, Batemans Bay and Moruya.

Personal best times were recorded by Nicole Minifie in the 2-kilometres, by Julie Amphlett in the 3.5-kilometres and Karen-Smith in the 5-kilometres.
