Tonight, there were “15 Runners in the Storm” and 5 virtual runners. There is an old saying that real runners run in the rain and the magnificent 15 proved that tonight.
Lauren Evans, Matt Lambert, Gary Ashton, and Zoe Whymark were able to back up after competing in the Kiama Classic Half Marathon held last Sunday. They all produced excellent times with Lauren coming in as the first woman to cross the finish line. The tough course was over a hilly trail with lots of hazards including sloping ground, rocks, and sand.
