Brogo Bridge Truck accident

FRNSW HazMat 286 Eden were responding to a truck incident at Cobargo township at 04:30am this morning, on our way to the incident we came across a log truck that had jack-knifed taking up both lanes of the Brogo bridge. HazMat 286 responded all other agencies to this incident and assisted the driver with first aid until the ambulance arrived, driver had been taken to Southeast Regional Hospital for assessment. RFS Brogo responded to the incident to assistance with mopping up the fuel spill and fire protection. Amount of diesel was decanted from the truck to the hazmat bin and absorption pads had been placed on Brogo bridge to soak up any oil or fuel. The Brogo Bridge structure has been compromised as a result of the accident and will require major work, so Brogo Bridge Princes Highway will be down to one lane for some time, stop and slow traffic conditions are now in place.
