Braidwood Bugle now in 'print'

Have you seen the first edition of the Braidwood Bugle mailout edition? Congratulations to the Braidwood Bugle

With ACM (old Fairfax) deciding to cut local newspapers including the Moruya Examiner, the Independent and, to our west The Braidwood News they might have felt a bit cock-sure that their readers would remain loyal if, and when, they ever decided to publish again.

Moruya Examiner readers are voting with their feet and walking away from the their once loved newspaper. The decline was already heralded when it was given the new masthead banner of Bay Post / Moruya Examiner and was published twice weekly, disguised as Moruya news and compiled and editied in Batemans Bay. Sick and tired of being fed pages of corporate advertising and cloned news from Batemans Bay and across the region the Moruya readers, who long enjoyed the Moruya Examiner as their own paper, are finding their news elsewhere. To find it no longer printed without even a "beg your pardon" by way of explanation has not sat well with Moruya locals.

Good news now for the residents of the Braidwood region who already enjoy the Braidwood Bugle online via social media and now have their first edition of the Braidwood Bugle mailout. With free mailouts like the Braidwood Bugle and the popular twice weekly The Beagle mailouts there will be little reason for readers of the old fashioned mastheads to return, especially after the proposed 2 to 3 months that these once traditional mastheads will continue to remain unpublished. So WELL DONE the Braidwood Bugle for being there during the fires, for being the independent voice of your community and for now providing a new format of engagement for your wider audiences.
