Tuross Head Country Club men’s golf Saturday competition was won by low handicap player Brad Doolan with an excellent score of 41 points. Consistent golfer, Shane Gschwend, filled second placing with 39 points.

Ian Manton also carded 39 points but was relegated to third position on a countback.

Paul Israel and Allen Lee were the remaining award winners each scoring 38 stableford points.

Thursday’s medley stableford event was won by Robert McDonell with 39 points ahead of Richard Brake, Shane Gschwend and Colin Houghton who all handed in cards of 38 points.

Trevor Innes 37 points saw him fill the remaining presentation spot.

The Tuross golfing men, ladies and veteran golfing sub clubs are pleased with the increasing numbers of players enrolling for virtually every event during the weekly competitions.  This could be due to a number of reasons. A golf course is a great place to enjoy the  spring and summer weather, the course is in excellent condition due to the further improvements by the ground staff and golf is an opportunity for members and visitors to get out in the open and enjoy themselves.

Whatever the reasons it is good to see both membership and visitors participation expanding as it is.
