Roger was a NSW Police officer in a previous career, with his first station after his initial training course at Goulburn Police Academy, was Narooma, in 1986.
After two periods of service with the NSW Police Force he was eventually medically discharged in 2008 with significant Post Traumatic Stress, and has now been working to enhance his health since then by using non traditional (medical) methods and has gained excellent results.
As part of his recovery program, he put pen to paper and wrote a book of his career in the police force, The Price of Protecting Others.
As a result of writing this book his health has improved dramatically as he wrote about his story in a “no holds barred” manner and is extremely honest about his depths of despair and illness, and the impact on himself and his immediate family.
The price is $25 and that includes dinner provided by the Soldiers Club.
Bookings close midday Tuesday 6th of June. http://rotarybbay.org.au/events/dinner-meeting-27/
