Body found in Moruya South Head fire

On Sunday December 6th, 2020, at 3.16am, crews were called to a House Fire in South Head Moruya. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 384 Moruya report "Upon arrival crews were confronted by a fully involved house fire. Crews made entry and were able to rapidly extinguish the fire, unfortunately during searches of the household a body was found."

"Police and FRNSW Investigators arrived onscene with assistance of crews from 384 to ascertain the origin of the fire."

FRNSW Moruya ask if you have elderly neighbors that when possible check on them and see if their smoke alarms are in good working order.

FRNSW Moruya also provide Home Fire Safety checks for people over the age of 65.
