Great win today at home v Hall Bushrangers - 17 to 11

The game went down to the wire, with both teams throwing everything they could at each other till the last minute. A game that the boys may have lost in the past but dug deep to get a late try and seal the win, a promising start to the season with thanks to Hall for making the trip

Well done to new recruit Joe Akkersdyk who was awarded the best player on ground by the GOBs (Old Boys) day in his first game for the club.

3 points - Angus Knight who not only scored the winning try with minutes left, but was threatening all day finding space at the back as well as injecting well on the fringes

2 points - Joe Akkersdyk, provided good momentum in attack and was heavily involved throughout all parts of the game on his debut

1 point - James Thomas who controlled the game well and Andrew Fleming always churning metres

Players player - Liam Macpherson, in another tireless effort

We now turn our attention to the Bermi/Cobargo Sharks next week, will be great to see them in action again
