BBay Evening View club Guest Speaker from the Batemans Bay Brigade NSW Rural Fire Service

The last meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club heard guest speaker, Captain Ian Aitken from the Batemans Bay Brigade of the NSW Rural Fire Service give an interesting and informative talk on Bush Fires and their character and Fire Readiness for the coming season. Ian spoke about fires in our area and the character of a fire and that fires have memories. He then discussed how important it is for everyone to have a fire plan and know their fire plan not only for this coming fire season but for all year. Some great information for attendees to think about and then fire plan kits were given out for everyone to use.
