Batemans Bay RSL Bowls Report

A very enjoyable morning was held last Friday for those present at RSL bowls which is held on the third Friday of the month at Club Tomakin, all welcome. George Wearn took over proceedings whilst President Lou Butcher was away, ably assisted by Johnny Jones and Robyn Butcher. George read out a fitting tribute to Col Page, Bowls Organiser, who recently passed away. Col will be sadly missed, his Funeral will be held this week at Broulee Crematorium. All stood whilst Brian Wheeler, sub-Branch President recited The Ode. Great to have the Milton/Ulladulla bowlers with us as always. Winning Lead, Robyn Butcher, Second, George Wearn, Skip, Pat Miller. Lucky losers, see you can even win when you lose!! Lead, Alan Matthews, Second, Tricia Wheeler, Skip, Finn Everding. Other winning teams, Dale and Ian Findley & Xavier Micaleff. Alan Matthews, Fred Ambrose and A. Walsh. Sue Jamison, George Wearn and Plugger. Money Club winner on 14, Alan Matthews, Raffle winners, Xavier and Pat. The next bowling day at Milton/Ulladulla is Monday 28th March, 9.30 am. Batemans Bay at Club Tomakin Friday 22nd April.
