A Charity Fair Event is on this Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October (Long Weekend) to raise money for research into a specific children’s cancer, DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), in Batemans Bay.
This event is particularly relevant to the local community as young Levi Wheeler succumbed to this cancer on New Year’s Eve last year. Levi was the grandson of locals John and Anne Wakelin, whose daughter Kath, mother of Levi, was born and raised in Batemans Bay.
DIPG is a fatal childhood cancer. A website has been set up by Levi’s family specifically to raise funds to research a cure for this deadly disease.
The day promises to offer extremely generous prizes in a raffle, auction and chocolate wheel and the attached flyer has further details.
The Fair is being held at the Old School House at 10 Beach Road, Batemans Bay.
