Erebus Motorsport Academy driver Bailey Sweeny has had the perfect lead up to his 2020 Bathurst Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 championship round at Mount Panorama, by taking out the Senior Performance Light ACT State Tittles, at the Mark Webber Kart circuit in Canberra.

In a dominating display, Bailey claimed the fastest time in qualifying before coming home first in all the heat races and the final, making it a clean sweep for the weekend.

The 2020 Kartshed ACT State Titles were run at the Canberra Kart Club across the weekend with 154 karters contesting the 10 classes. Winning the title could not have come at a better time with Sweeny now set to take on Australia’s toughest motor racing course - Mount Panorama at Bathurst - next weekend. As part of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 event, Bailey will race his All 4 Mechanical Toyota 86 in the TGR Australia series.

First practice at Bathurst begins on Thursday at 10.45am
