Autumn Report For Dalmeny /Narooma Bushwalkers.

Writer: The BeagleThe Beagle

Dalmeny /Narooma Bushwalkers have tried to conduct weekly bushwalks this last 3 months but many have been disrupted by the wet weather and have had to be postponed to later dates. We have come to the end of the Autumn Program with our last walk being held in Murramarrang National Park last Thursday. Highlights of the walks held were Kangaroo Valley camp (cut short), Broulee Island walk and Mimosa Rocks N.P. in the Aragunnu / Bunga Area.

Last weeks walk was a standout with 9 walkers driving to Depot Beach and walking approximately 13 kms. through burnt bush, via the Discovery trail, around North Durras Lake and up to Point Upright. After lunch, looking south towards North Head near Batemans Bay, we walked the Burrawang Trail to the Depot Beach Settlement, onto the Rock Platform beside the ocean around the beach to the wet rainforest walk and back to the cars. Wendy and Jan were thanked for putting this walk on in an area we rarely visit and we managed to get a lovely day even if walking in some spots was pretty wet.

Members don't forget the AGM is being held on the Saturday the 4th June at the Dalmeny Community Hall at 10.00 am.
