ADVANCE EUROBODALLA announces Candidate Team

Newly formed political group, Advance Eurobodalla, has released a media statement saying: "it's a motivated team of community-focused individuals who are standing as candidates in the 2021 Eurobodalla Shire election." "Joining recently announced Mayoral Candidate, Mat Hatcher, the AE team comes from a broad spectrum of sectors, including small business, community support and environmental conservation."

She spent 20 years with the National Youth Science Forum before working for Questacon as part of their logistics and event management team. Charles Stuart is a local Eurobodalla land owner since 1960, Charles has two main passions in life: supporting families with disabilities and youth employment. He was a key advocate for developing the accessible playground at Batehaven and is always looking for new strategies to promote equal opportunity for our community." Georgie Rowley has been a voice for the vulnerable and disadvantaged in the shire for 25

years. She has had 39 years experience as a registered nurse and is a co-founder of and

advocate for ONE Eurobodalla Hospital. Laurence Babington has an extensive background in both business and community work. He has volunteered with both National Parks and Wildlife Services and Tilba Tilba Landcare. He is passionate about caring for our region, it’s people and environment and is very keen to play his part in advancing open government. Amber Schutz is a local Architect with over 10 years of experience in the profession. She is committed to rebuilding trust between Council and the Community and ensuring there is meaningful and genuine engagement. Amber is a volunteer with the RFS and actively seeks opportunities to be involved in the community. She cares about listening to and learning from people and would love to help create a region that is a unique place for everyone to enjoy. Natasha Coxon is a hard working small business owner with a commitment to youth retention locally, small business, sustainable marine industries and to accountable local government. Charles Stuart Mayoral Candidate Mat Hatcher says he is encouraged by the Eurobodalla community’s initial response to his announcement of running for Eurobodalla Mayor. “I believe in true community engagement and want to see a Council that residents can be proud of. I am confident of our team of candidates, who are all eager to ignite change for the community. “Our team can give the Eurobodalla community the assurance that change in their local government is a real possibility.
