$3.1 million has been announced towards the fixing local roads program, supporting nine projects in the Eurobodalla which will improve local roads in our communities and create regional jobs.
In making the announcement the Member for Bega Andrew Constance said the Fixing Local Roads is a vital program for local councils to assist in delivering the smaller projects that make a difference to our local communities.
“The Australian Government committed $191 million to build on the NSW Government’s $500 million Fixing Local Roads program, ensuring even more regional communities benefit, faster.
Eurobodalla Shire Council will lead these projects whilst also contributing to the project cost.
Local project works include pavement rehabilitation and stabilisation, improved line marking, gutter and drainage improvements at:

· Beach Road, Batemans Bay
· Bowerbird Place, Malua Bay
· George Bass Drv, Batemans Bay
· Litchfield Cres, Long Beach
· Mulgowrie St, Malua Bay
· North Head Drv, Moruya
· Wave St, Tuross Head
The announcement comes as the NSW Government says it is accelerating its funding for the program to get more projects to seal, maintain and repair local roads under way faster.
