Council suffers immediate backlash over withdrawing video recording and streaming of Public Forum


The Eurobodalla community are airing their disgust at yesterday's decision by Mayor Innes and Councillors Brown, Thomson, Nathan, Tait, Constable and Pollock to pull the plug on live streaming of community Public Presentations to council meetings.

While all the surrounding councils are embracing video recording and webcasting of their community presenting issues to councils Eurobodalla Council voted 7 against 2 yesterday to pull the plug with only Councillor Pat McGinlay and Councillor Anthony Mayne saying they could not support such a back ward step.

Mayor Innes, one to always use the expression "Moving Forward" now has a battle on her hands to try to claw back from this decision with just over a year to go before the next election where a new council can, and most likely will overturn what is widely considered a draconian decision to build further barriers to public inclusion.
